Loans Edmonton publishes information and a referral link. It is not a lender, it keeps no office in Edmonton or anywhere else in Alberta, and nothing here is advice about your own finances.
Information, not advice
These pages describe how payday and installment loans work under Alberta and federal law and where the legal limits sit; they do not weigh your situation. They cannot see your pay deposits, the rent on a suite in Old Strathcona or the size of your January gas bill, so they cannot tell you whether to borrow, how much or from whom.
A non-profit credit counsellor in Edmonton can look at the whole picture without charge, and the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada publishes plain language guidance on payday loans and their alternatives.

Where the figures come from
Every dollar figure on this site is a legal ceiling or an example worked at that ceiling. The $14 per $100 cost cap, the $1500 maximum, the 42 to 62 day instalment term and the 2.5% a month default interest come from Part 12.1 of the Consumer Protection Act and the Payday Loans Regulation; the 35% top of installment lending comes from section 347 of the Criminal Code. A lender may charge less than a cap, and its cost of credit disclosure is the number you sign for.
Edmonton detail stays descriptive. We name the river, the LRT lines, the hospitals, the highways and the neighbourhoods, and never a lender, an address or a count we cannot source.

The lender decides
Approval, the amount, the cost or APR, the instalment dates and every other term are the licensed lender's decision, not ours, and no lender in Canada can promise a result before it has seen your income. Read the agreement before signing. For a payday loan, check that it names the lender, states the total cost in dollars, lays out instalments on your paydays over at least 42 days, and carries the cancellation notice the Act requires.
No promise of accuracy or availability
We review the pages against the King's Printer text and Service Alberta's guidance, but the law changes and a page can lag behind it. We do not promise that this site, the platform or any lender will be reachable when you need them, or that a figure here matches a lender's latest disclosure. The terms of use set the liability limits, the about page explains who runs the site, and the FAQ covers the questions Edmonton readers ask most.
